Three Injured in Serious Southern California Car Crash

A violent two-car collision in North Hollywood on Sunday evening sent at least three people to the hospital. The crash, which occurred around 6:45 p.m. in the 11200 block of Oxnard Street, involved two vehicles and left a significant debris field stretching across the road.

Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) crews quickly responded to the scene, located between Lankershim Boulevard and Vineland Avenue. While the exact cause of the crash remains unclear, one of the victims was briefly trapped inside their vehicle before being rescued by firefighters. Two individuals were rushed to the hospital in critical condition, and a third was in serious condition, according to an LAFD news release.

KTLA footage, shared on the Citizen App, shows the two cars involved were severely damaged. The roadway was littered with debris from the wreck. Authorities have yet to release the names of the victims or determine if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.

Anthony Tadman, a longtime resident of North Hollywood who lives nearby, told KTLA he heard the crash from his home and went outside to see what had happened.

High-Speed Crash in Granite Bay, California Claims Lives of Two Local Teens

A devastating crash early Sunday morning in Granite Bay has claimed the lives of two young men, leaving a community in mourning. The incident happened around 3:15 a.m. on Eureka Road, just east of Bridle Path Lane, when a 2022 BMW M3 lost control, veered off the roadway, and collided with a tree. The impact was so severe that the car split in half. The Placer County Sheriff’s Office identified the victims as 19-year-old Kai Gini and 18-year-old Keven Garcia. Both were former students of the Roseville Joint Unified School District, which has since acknowledged the heartbreaking loss. According to the California Highway Patrol, speed is believed to have played a significant role in the crash. Authorities also suspect the driver may have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol, though the investigation is still ongoing.
